About Northeast Atlanta RPC
Our History and Mission
The Northeast Atlanta Racing Pigeon Club (NEARPC) was chartered in 2014. We currently have about 25 members, most of which are from Gwinnett County in Atlanta, GA. We have a variety of age groups, including a large proportion of young members.
NEARPC members meet the first Tuesday of every month, except during the racing seasons. Similar to most clubs, we fly two separate series of races (i.e. old and young birds).
Our old-bird racing season starts in April and lasts until June. The young-bird racing season starts in September and finishes at the end of October.
Both the old and young-bird races are flown from the Northeast direction. The old-bird races start at 200 miles and finish at 600 miles, while the young-bird races begin at 100 miles and finish at 300 miles.
During the old-bird seasons, we join other clubs in the area and fly under the Peach State Combine. We are members of the American Racing Pigeon Union as well as the Dixie Southern Racing Pigeon Association.
The primary purpose of the club is to support and encourage the growth and understanding of the sport of pigeon racing in the North Georgia region. We encourage you to browse through the pages of our site and we hope you enjoy your visit. We would love the opportunity to answer any questions you may have regarding the raising and racing of pigeons. Your feedback is most welcome as we desire to present our visitors with a complete array of information.
If there is a question about any phase of our sport, please contact us as we are here to serve you! Feel free to contact any of the officers listed under "Contact".
Thank you for being part of our joy!
